Berchtesgadener Land: Königssee, Watzmann und Almenluft
The Berchtesgadener Land packs everything the Alps have to offer into the smallest of spaces: the fjord-like Königssee with the pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomä, the Watzmann east face – the highest rock wall in the Eastern Alps – the salt mine that once made the region wealthy, and Bad Reichenhall, an Alpine town with a brine-spa tradition.
